“I’m only interested in validating the election and exposing the vulnerabilities I believe exist in our current system. I’m not trying to change the results. If that happens, so be it, but I’m not trying to force it.”

De La Fuente says he picked Nevada to balance out the recount and force the media to focus on the need for substantive reform to maintain the integrity of the Nation’s elections.

In De La Fuente’s opinion, there are a lot of similarities between the Nevada and Wisconsin scenarios except for who won.

“Hillary won Nevada by a narrow margin almost identical to that of President-elect Trump’s in Wisconsin,” said De La Fuente. “Why not audit Nevada’s results as well?”

Jill Stein is suing for a full recount in Pennsylvania. A hearing is set for Monday Morning.

The WEC raises the fees to a ridiculous $3.9 million after $400,000 addition error.

Judge in Wisconsin states that while she prefers hand counting the ballots, she rules against the Stein campaign and will not mandate it. A hand recount will happen in all but 19 counties though.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinal reports that the cost to count each ballot is $1.31.

In 2011, Wisconsin held a statewide recount on the state’s Supreme Court race. Cost for that recount according to the LA times was $520,000. That recount was for 1/2 as many votes as for this one. Even with inflation, it shouldn’t cost more than 2x as much to count the votes.

A Dane County judge has scheduled a late-afternoon hearing on whether to force local election officials to conduct a looming presidential recount by hand.

Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein and Independent presidential candidate Roque De La Fuente have asked for a recount. Stein asked that the counting be done by hand in all of Wisconsin’s 72 counties to verify electronic voting machines weren’t hacked. The Wisconsin Elections Commission refused to grant that request, prompting Stein to file a lawsuit late Monday.

Dane County Circuit Judge Valerie Bailey-Rihn has scheduled a hearing in the lawsuit for 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

In the article, Stein calls the $3.5 million estimated cost for the recount “exorbitant”.

The Stein campaign will need to pay $3.5 million tomorrow to start the recount in Wisconsin. The Wisconsin Election Commission directed each of the counties to choose to do either a hand recount or just rescan the ballots in the electronic voting machines. $3.5 million is significantly more than the estimated $1.5 million that the Stein campaign was originally told. The recount can start as soon as Thursday.

There is a chance this lawsuit will fail and those in Pennsylvania who can still submit their affidavits to their counties, should do so.

HARRISBURG — Former Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein on Monday continued her campaign to contest the election results in three battleground states, filing suit in Pennsylvania seeking a statewide recount.

Legal papers filed in Commonwealth Court by a lawyer for Stein’s campaign contend the Nov. 8 election was “illegal” and the results inaccurate based on research suggesting there might have been irregularities with electronic voting machines, among other evidence.

“Petitioners have grave concerns about the integrity of electronic voting machines used in their districts,” the suit stated.

Madison — The Wisconsin Elections Commission set a timetable Monday for a recount of the presidential election but rejected Green Party candidate Jill Stein’s request to conduct it by hand.

Unless Stein quickly challenges the agency’s decision in court and wins,the plan would leave it to officials in each of Wisconsin’s 72 counties to decide whether to do their recounts by hand. That could mean some counties perform recounts by machine and some by hand.
